Staff Accountant Job Description:

The Staff Accountant's responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, tax preparation and research. The Staff Accountant also assists the Manager and Partners as needed.

A successful Staff Accountant possesses strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills, is eager to learn tax rules and regulations, and has the desire to fully understand Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Staff Accountant Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (completed or in progress)
• 2+ years of accounting or tax experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks, and computer skills.
• Possess the ability to ask questions of supervisor.

Salary commensurate on experience.
